Hmm...what do you guys want to know? I thought I have told you guys everything about the new turbo and stuff..
Yes, Altered does have few pictures of my car on their site, you just have to look for it. They are using one of them as the title background under tuning section like Phill said. If you are thinking they might have a section about my car...think again....their main focus is on Supras and Mistu GTOs, doubt they would really want to advertise tuning a Volvo.
Search the previous posts I have made under C70 section, I already posted about my HP at wheels awhile ago...........
Again, no one seemed to care what I posted........

Shoot! we use 220Volts in Europe

How about the spool up compared to the previous turbo?
I assume you are not running very high boost on a daily basis and if so doesn't the turbo make the car feel fluffy during normal use?

quote:
How about the spool up compared to the previous turbo?
I assume you are not running very high boost on a daily basis and if so doesn't the turbo make the car feel fluffy during normal use?

Beleive or not, it actually spools up a lot faster than the previous one, felt a lot more aggressive...well the turbo does anyway, I'll explain more below. For it to build up boost to reach the sweet spot range takes slightly longer, hardly noticeable, the way it spools up to the max boost is just amazing. I used to have this rough seat of pants feeling with the older turbo, but now with T3/T04E...the power seems to be a lot smoother and power delivery is very civil. Hard to explain..
It feels just like when I hadn't the T04B tuned correctly...and felt the turbo was outperforming the engine. It's the same feeling, felt like "there's a lot more turbo left" that the engine oouldn't fully utilize yet. The turbo is still at a very decent size that is not TOO big for the engine, and doesn't feel like I'm running outta engine yet. Very fine line.......
I guess I've set the max boost to come in too early...tried 4500 rpm, then 5000, now I think 5500 is probably more reasonable. But I think I'm not getting much of traction when the turbo really kicks in. Reason saying that is.....you could hear the engine and see the rpm goes up almost as fast as the boost gauge, but the car is not going that much faster...at least not according to how rpm behaved.
Or maybe the clutch is just slipping bad...? Hopefully the LSD in Jan. will cure that. I think with the tranny not able to put down the power, that is the reason why I have not been able to get higher than 1.1 bar of boost on the street...not too sure, maybe you can explain better.
LoL~ And NO...the turbo doesn't feel fluffy during normal driving, I am very sure of that. But I'm just curious to see how does it feel to have 20 psi of boost and doing 375 whp is like.
Need more tuning~~~!!

I recognize the "lot of boost no engine going" thing yes.
With the S60 we went down with the boost and changed the ignition and fuel settings a little and the engine became a lot stronger.
The problem is always the programming af you want to havethings done.
The problem with me is that I have to drive 120 miles to get to RICA and back the same evening but they always helped me out.
I guess you can set boost levels at certain RPM with the Apexi controller, I coulnd't with the Blitz DSBC and after a while of usage the conclusion was that it is unsafe to use a device like that on the new management system Volvo is using.
The only way to go is ECU controlled boost but the problem with that is that every change in the boost curve needs programming again.
The ECU of my S60 is completely worn out, almost soldered to death.
There's a socket soldered on there for some time now but the last few times there were 2 instances when the car didn't start anymore because of a broken track.
I thought that using the A/R .63 turbine the spool up would come in around 3500 RPM or a little higher but the way you descibe it it sounds like there's enough boost already to get the car going without breaking the tires loose and that sounds awesome.
Sufficient low end punch but not overdone.
I am curious about the LSD, I'm thinking about a complete M59 gearbox for the 850 with LSD build in because the LSD's sold by SAM or the others are extreme expensive.
Hell, I might even search for an M58 setup!

Also I think the crazy slippage from the tranny I have now won't allow me to get any power down to even break the tires loose.

quote:
I am curious about the LSD, I'm thinking about a complete M59 gearbox for the 850 with LSD build in because the LSD's sold by SAM or the others are extreme expensive.

Yes, it's not cheap, but if it works...I guess it's more worth it to be able to transfer all the power to the ground than wasted all the effort in achieving what I have now. BTW, I'm not getting the AP Racing one...
You might want to search for this unit called M59L....I was told by Scott about this unit. Forgot what he said about it, though.....
