Practice results here: http://www.world-challenge.com...=1296 It was a wet day today, but it'll be clear and cool tomorrow, so expect some changes in qualifying.
Qualifying:
Pilgrim 3rd
Pobst 5th
Top 6 all within a few 10ths, should be a good race.
I think they should give Volvo back 100lbs out of that 350lb. penalty, then they would all be essentially dead even.

And Pobst being who he is, you know he'll make the most of it if it's humanly possible.
Theoretically, it was smart for KPax to place how they did. Now they have an argument for the weight the SCCA just added. If they had another 1-2 victory, or close to it, the SCCA might look to adding more weight than they did last week.
We had another rather tuff and labor intensive weekend. We were at the track until 3 am one night, 9 pm the next. All part of the teething problems of a new car. The extra weight SCCA gave us and the extra rewards weight for 1st and 2nd at New Jersey was very much felt. It increased our brake distance and slowed down re-accell. We still have a good car car but as our advantages are being taken away our least HP in the GT series is being felt. Let me state here, we are not whinning, this is racing in a series that has many different manufactures and a tuff job to keep all adjusted and competitive at the same time. Our job is to make a competitive car under the circumstances. Please do not get to mad at SCCA, if they get to us unfairly I'll let you know. As of now we need some more straight away speed and will be working on that here at the shop and with SCCA.
Back to the race, the coin flip was a break for us( I still don't like it), however by the end of the back straight we where settled into 3rd and 5th. Not to bad, considering we missed a lot of practice time with issues.
Randys car suffered from a overheated stuck waste gate that had him driving at 15% throttle to avoid overboosting. Andys car got a little rear end loose for some reason and couldn't make any real moves on anyone.
So we leave there with a 4th and an 8th, with Andy setting another fastest race lap( 3 out of 4 races) and 3rd in the championship, moving Volvo up to third in the manufacture points race. We don't expect to win the manufacture's race in our first year of development, but we are still in the hunt.
It has been very "cool" to see and hear from so many Volvo enthusiast or at least people that are happy to see Volvo's race and be competitive, thanks to you all for your continued support !

Bob-
Please tell Mr. Jim that he is a Volvo God. You can tell you are going to be around again and have the $$$$
to stay in it. Not like the incompetent clown thieves from Maryland.
Someone in Sweden at Volvo cars should be sending Mr. H a bunch free Volvo SUV's or something. Either way please let him know that he is a total badass for racing these Volvo's and the enthusiasts really appreciate his dedication and vision.
