And I know there are a few HID threads already but this certain problem isnt clearly solved.

I ordered 35w 8000k Ultra slims. Now I read that our s40's don't like that, and can someone explain to me, exactly what I need to make it work? Thanks for your patience!

I have exactly what you have (except mine are 7000k). I ordered both harnesses that John offers (Bulb Out Harness and the Battery Harness), and only needed one (unfortunately I do not remember which it was). I returned the other for a full refund.

I'm all about this but I don't like the problems people have been having with the burned out wiper motor...

I've been looking at simply upgrading bulbs, anyone use Hoen xenon match?

Bulb upgrades burn out in weeks. I tried it once and its just not worth the money.

I've only heard of the 55w hid kit burning out the wiper motor. The 35 should have much less stored energy. I would go with a 35 watt kit, as long as I can be sure I wont get the bulb out message. Another option would be a DSP HIDs. That clean up the signal too bad they cost about 2x the DDM.

Revolve40 and S40DaB is everything running well?

I agree with the bulb upgrades with Hoen....just not worth the money. I did it for awhile, bulbs burn out, and my wires burned too.

Also with my 35w HID's it burned out my wiper motors....so it's both kits, fyi. I'm still running it though......

Did you run a bulb that had higher wattage than the 55w bulbs? I'm thinking of getting the xenon match 55w bulbs...isn't this the same as replacing oem?

I haven't had any problems to speak of. The only issue is sometimes the light actually doesn't come on then I do get the bulb out message...because the bulb is out. But if I switch it to parking then back to lights on it will come on. I have been very happy with my system so far. The 8000K is amazing iceberg blue color. Unfortunately, as I have read a lot of these HID threads, there doesn't seem to be a pattern of why certain cars reject them and/or burn out wiper motors. But this is a risk that you run.

So far im running a 65w philips bulb for myt highs they look white with a tinti of blue and work very very well i am thinking my next step will be philips low beams and fogs ill get picks of the highs and post them ..... the bulbs are actually from my 300zx with about 200 hours of use and now in my volvo with about 300 more hours no burnouts or wire probloems .... Also i touched the tips by accident and still no problems

I have the 35w kit from John. It works great, sometimes one or both dont fire on startup, it's nbd tho as i just flip the switch to off, then back on again and they fire. Oh and no bulb out warning unless one doesn't fire at start up. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Edit: oh i also have the bulb out harness. You don't need the battery harness, it doesn't work anyways.

Ohhh...I misread. I thought you had standard halogens that you had upgraded with just bulbs.

WTF. Is there a single solution that doesn't just cost you more money? My OEM lows are burned out and I need replacemetss. I was just looking at PIAA bulbs, but on one hand bulbs just burn out fast and don't seem worth the money and HIDs just kill the wiper motor (I'm assuming the winshield wipers). As of now I'm thinking of just bulbs but I'm waiting for someone to present a solid solution...

I'm looking into the Kiaxen kit now, with digital signal processing and built in error message repair. That should take care of the wiper motor problem.

Still doing research but if I do make the jump thats where Im jumping.

@Getdown: look into H9 bulbs. They are better then stock but thats it.

I ran xenonmatch titanium, which was 65w.
