Just installed the Scan Gauge listed on IDP's website. This thing is awesome...reads out REAL TIME vehicle dynamics (TPS, IAT, RPM, GPH, MPG, IGN TIMING, ect...) It is quite small in size too, only about as big as a few 5packs of gum....looks different from the one shown on their site (the one I got looks more professional and nice). Has many different back-light colors and 3 brghtness's. It is absolutely PLUG AND PLAY!!! Just find a place to mount it, connect wire to unit, plug into ODB connector and done!! And it comes with a useful intruction manual on how to program it to the car (calculates engine size, fuel tank size) so it can give accurate readings. Overall this thing is awesome!!
Link to the part:
http://www.ipdusa.com/Products...D=629

Too bad it can't be used to display manifold pressure.
Nice piece though.

Re: (Copeland)

You can set the refresh rates low/med/high....high setting is actually pretty quick.

It comes with 2 cuts of velcro that are about 2" long.

Is high almost live? According to thier website, with high you might miss some data, have you exp. this?
Also the website states you change the backlight from 7 different colors, what colors does it offer?
EDIT: I SENT YOU a PM so I dont have to flood this thread with questions. PM me when you get the chance

Re: (Copeland)

High is pretty much live. Even at idle, the variables don't just stay the same, they are flutuating a little bit (to the more exact point).
There are 4 overall intensity selections- 1. Brightness 2. Red Intensity 3. Green Intensity 4. Blue Intensity
But you can mix and match the RGB Intensities to make your own color, so back-light color and brightness is VERY adjustable. If you set RGB to lowest Intensity, it will have a White backlight.

So can ANY OBDII scan tool be hooked into the port in our R's and have access to basic readings as shown above?
There is a website that makes some really cool digital gauges that reads ODBII signals but the guy I contacted at the company says it wouldn't work on an 06 volvo due to the volvo's use of CAN..does that even make sense?
