only pads were changed. Changed at 38,000 miles. All four rotors had been changed at about 15,000 for a complaint that I had. Now, the car shimmies if breaking hard from a high speed, >60 mph. Is this the pads being broke in or are my rotors slightly warped??

Dealer has been very friendly with me (ie bubbled tires, bent wheels, etc) but should I make an issue about this?

Should the pads and rotors be changed at the same time every time??

Any comments would be appreciated.

Yes you should complain.
A straight rotor SHOULD last at least 30K miles unless they have been abused
If yours were original I would toss the coin but since they were changed at 15K they should still be OK

I'm reading about these dampers now. And the whole time I have had the car, there has been a clicking noise coming from the right front tire. From reading previous posts, I thought it was the axel spline (I still have no clue what that is exactly) and now it might be these dampers.

What should my complaint be? The rotors? That is nothing on the dealer, right? If they were warped it was probably because I was driving the car and the pads were worn down very low.

Not necessarily. Give the dealer a shot, they may give you another set.
Your click is probably the axle spline but the dampeners give the brakes better stability. They're free, ask for them

Is your car parked for longer time from time to time?

You could try to do some brake sequences while driving on the highway or a stretch of road without to much traffic. Mildly brake from speeds up to 60-70 mph down to 20 mph. Release brake and accelerate to cruising speed again, allow the brakes to cool down a bit and repeat the procedure a few times while increasing brake force. Allow for cool down inbetween. Maybe this will clear the surface of the rotors a bit. Sometimes it helps but if it is in the rotor material the shudder won't go away. The damper has nothing to do with it, only to reduce unwanted noise production.

Also make sure not to engage the brake on a hot rotor when coming to a full stop. If you think the brakes are hot when stopping at a traffic light or so try to leave a bit of room in front of you and let the car crawl forward slowly.

Point three, brake harder with your R every now and then.

38K is way to much for these rotors..

Had my front rotors replaced at 10k KM on warranty because the car shimmied, the pads where changed at the same time for the ones with dampeners. The car started shimmying again at 25k KM. I never pull the handbrake (as it sometimes blocked) and I am breaking hard a lot.

The only time the shimmy disappears is after 2 rounds on Nordschleife so I think Johanns advice should make it for you, but shimmy returns back after about an other 2-3k KM.

When returning the car for the 40k Service I will complain again, we will see if I get an other pair of rotors for free.
