The local Volvo dealership just put their 2006s on sale - I was checking their inventory when I noticed one of them didn't have a transmission listed. I've been looking for a Manual for some time now ... so I contacted them to double-check the tranmission - bingo! Premium Package, Sport Package,
Audio Package, and even the leather color I wanted!
Walked in, test drove, filled out all the forms, and drove it home!
Now I just have to break it to my '99 Jetta that I need to sell her. Poor gal.
They said I should take it easy for the first 500 miles .... so now I have to
restrain myself from zipping around. Sigh.
First things I think I may want to do - door pins, a bit of a sportier shifter,
and a clean no lines/no logos grill. Plus a debadge. I like clean, clear lines
without a lot of noise.
Yay me!

Right on! Usually it's a bunch of when trying to find a post-production car. I had to factory order mine. 10 weeks later...it finally arrived.
Just took a couple of pics. I hope to get more after it gets washed, waxed,
and the protectant coating that Volvo offers.
http://angui.sh/108_0882.jpg
http://angui.sh/108_0883.jpg

Protective coating that Volvo, or the dealership offers?
Most of those are simple dealer profit generators. Also, you couldn't apply it over the wax.
I would suggest using a quality protective wax, like Zaino or Klasse.
I prefer Klasse All In One myself, as it's easier to use and (IMHO) works just as well. Wipe on/wipe off is about as simple as it gets. The sealant is a little more difficult (on par with Zaino), and just lets you stretch out the interval between application.
