Hi Guys,
I just finished installing LEDs inside and out on the R and my brother's S60. Only problem I ran into was the down lighting in the front/rear won't completely turn off while driving, they stay on very very dim; they do turn completely off when the car shuts down and locks. There were a mix match of different sizes of bulbs in the interior and they were all suppose to be the same; no biggie I just squeezed the prongs tighter to fit the bulbs. Could long bulbs have been the trick to shut down the bulbs completely?

Re: Just finished installing LEDs... (PureDrive07)

Edit: I think I just answered my own question about the problem...I looked at the bulbs I pulled from the cars and they say 212-2 and cross referenced them on the website and noticed that I should have ordered different ones

From what I know (Mike C70), there is always a slight current that runs through those bulbs at all times. You need a resistor between them, or speak to Mike C70 about a circuit that he had put together.

Also, the lights I put in the footwells turns off once I start the engine. I think it was just the wrong bulb and hopefully the new ones work.

I just looked into the correct bulb some more and its not a CW9 but rather this Loop bulb that looks exactly like the OEM bulbs:

the LEDs that I use does not stay on went the car is running. But you can get a resistor or get the SMT type LEDs.
