Hey All !
Whoo-woo... Just bought a '06 V70R today and will be having it shipped from Colorado to South Louisiana (after the hurricane hits just to play it safe).
My question....
Can any of you recommend a reputable auto shipping company? I have price quotes from a few and they range from $695 - $1150. Most are $750-850 and from reading all their info, I don't see much of a difference between them.
Btw, if anyone is in the market for a '05 Z71 Black Suburban, I've got one to get rid of now.
Thanks!
Jenni

Re: Just bought a V70R (KelticSprite)

I used Auto Driveaway last year to ship my 940 from L.A. They were professional, delivered the car to St. Louis in exactly one week, had the lowest price, and there was no damage upon arrival which is RARE in this industry. Price was $900. Good luck, -Scott

Re: Just bought a V70R (KelticSprite)

My suggestion would be to grab a friend, or two, fly to Colorado and drive it home. I did Seattle to St. George Island, Flordia in a Impreza 2.2L. It is a fun road trip in general but doing it in your new R would be one for the books. But thats just me. Oh,and congrats on the R.
Matt

Re: Just bought a V70R (mad matt)

Although I would love to incorporate a trip into Labor Day weekend to bring my car back, I have 3 boys (ages 7,4,1) that I would have to bring with me and a hurricane knocking on my door. I'm gonna have the car shipped next week after the hurricane makes landfall.
Jenni
If you want enclosed trailer, door to door, get a quote from this company. Hope the hurricane does not build past a Cat 1. I grew up in Louisiana and am very familiar with the impending threat of storms.
http://www.leavertonservices.com/services.html

Thanks!
It has 22k miles on it, Ti Met. w/ Nordkap, Boosters (important to me w/ 3 kids), 3rd row seat, and all the other normal stuff.... 6 disc CD, heated seats, backup sensors, 6 spd geartronic, etc.
My husband is itching to start modding it for me
We're AutoXers so I'm thinking that I'll see how it handles in the next race. Hope everything is OK after the hurricane - at least it diminished to a Cat 1 as we hoped.
You can now look forward to having your VR delivered.

Re: Just bought a V70R (mad matt)

Turned out to be a great idea you had there! Great way to escape the hurricane and see a part of the country I haven't seen. We took the kids too so we'll take our time going back the 1400 miles home.
~Jenni
