All issues we read about on Volvo's. The ABS/TRACS issue is an ABS module. Look for Victor Rocha on these threads (do a search). He is the ABS guru and rebuilds them for us...all for $150 or so, Key not working- may have to go to the dealer with this one. Do you have 2 keys on the same key ring for your car? They could be interfering. CV boot torn and joint clicking. You'll need to replace the axle on that side (check the other side too). http://www.fcpgroton.com has a good exchange on these (about $100) but Raxles.com has better ones for a bit more $$. Antenna issue : common issue. Try greasing the antenna...if it's still bad, groton sells a replacement shaft and it's a pretty cheap and easy replacement. The "boot release on the petrol fill" or gas cover latch is a common issue. Pull the carpet away from the area in the trunk and you'll see a lever you can pull to open it. If the motor is bad in there you may need to replace it. If it's just the springing hinge, use some good lubricant on it...that's all mine took. Good luck with your car and welcome to the family.

If it's already clicking you're not going to do it any good just by slipping a boot on it. Best to replace the axle on that side.

Re: (MadeInJapan)

yeah ok it is already making noise. while u are here, yesterday my temperature guage hit red then went cold then red, and fan went non stop but car was not over heating, i had it looked at and as far as they could tell it is the sensor just under the power steering fluid bottle, a little gold rod with a plug on the end that measures coolant temp or something.
have you heard of this problem before?

Re: (manu)

Not such a vasolation in temperatures but it does sound like it's that sensor. It's not very expensive. http://www.fcpgroton.com also has this. If you're going to open up the thermostat housing to change that anyway, might as well change the thermostat while you're at it (another common failing part on our cars). Get the 87degree one and not the 90degree one when you change it. It will come with a gasket.
Just a note: If you get parts from the Volvo dealer they won't have an 87degree stat, though they used to sell it.
