I just bought a 1999 v70 wagon, that came with one key and a non factory alarm that works with the ignition imobilizer... here's my question I had a new key made and don't want to have to pay the extra amount to get it programmed to the car to get it to work. My old car (ford probe gt) had a key fob that you could program yourself if you knew the trick of jumping the diagnosis box. I AM BROKE AT THE MOMENT so i'd love to find a way to program this spare key without paying the dealership!! Any help would be great! thanks in advance.
Luke (cincinnati ohio)

Re: (geck0)

Just talked to my Volvo tech buddy and yes the '99 V70 is dealer-only.
You would think that by this time somebody would have the fix...
I'll go look.
George Dill
