My R is still at the bodyshop. I stopped by on Friday but they were closed but I did get a glimpse of her rear end. Currently she is debadged as the lift gate was repainted. She looks nice but I don't want to keep her that way. Instead of putting the badges in the OEM position, I was thinking of having them put on in the P2 format. "Volvo" badge centered between the rear glass and license plate area, "V70" badge on the driver side (where the OEM "Volvo" badge is) and the "R" and "AWD" badge on the passenger side.
Do you think it would look good doing it that way or should I stick with the OEM placement? "Volvo" badge on driver side and the rest of the badges on the passenger side.
Just something I've been pondering today after seeing all the P2 R's at the GTG.

I would say go for it! Put them like the P2 format!

We don't need no stinkin' badges, just the R (only) on the right side!
Looks good that way. If you don't like it you can always add the rest later

I've actually thought about doing that on my P1 V70R so it would match my P2 S60R. I'd do it. How hard is it to debadge/rebadge?

Then take some fishing line/dental floss to remove the badge. Use a jigsaw motion to cut though the adhesive. Then just clean off the residue off.
Just buy some 3M badge adhesive and use that to re-stick the badges on your car.
