Join the Washington Volvo Club! Membership includes a card that enables you to get a discount on parts from Volvo Parts Departments, and the club newsletter 'Volvamus'. We also have Do-It-Yourself sessions at local Volvo dealers in the Washington DC area. We've been to Martens, Annapolis, and Don Beyer in Alexandria and Falls Church to name a few. You get the opportunity to wrench on your Vo in an official Volvo service center with their lifts and expertise at hand. Pizza usually follows. If you like to wrench on your own car, this is a really good thing! Being a member really pays off for me.
The club usually meets at Martens Volvo/Volkswagen in Bethesda on the fourth Tuesday of each month but we are always looking for fun places to hold a meeting to shake things up a bit.
We have held events such as picnics, specialty speakers and we have a yearly banquet called Firande. It's always a good time.
There are many interesting folks in the club. Most know a great deal about their cars and are a wealth of information if you have a similar model. I was helped a good bit when I installed new struts in my car.
If you would like to join, check out the site and fill in the registration form and print it out, and send the membership fee and the form to the membership address.
If you would like a copy of Volvamus, check out parts departments at local Washington Area Volvo parts departments. Many will have some extra copies. I have a few current ones about, so let me know. But if you join, you get one every month!

Just figured I should share. It's a cool club. I enjoy it.
