I'm having a hard time getting a link from OfferUp but this little thing is still for sale.
Did a little research last night discovered that in '88 there was no intercooler, whereas 87 and 89 both had intercooler, so this may be the less desirable model, but it still looks like an absolute blast to fix up and race around like a little go kart....

Looks well loaded and sporting a p* sticker (not oem looking), but am I weird for expecting 18's on a platinum package?
I guess maybe that's sport or r design only, but these 17's look comfortable but I think could go up an inch nicely

I vote T5M for the road trip. S80 V8 is nice - P3 4C is a lot more refined but still a possible problem. I'd go check to see if 4C has been done and what VB revision it is on. Pre 09-11 V8s do not have the alternator ducting which reduces life in heat cycles and if either the valve covers or timing covers go. Not a bad car but both options would have some upkeep to keep them on the road in the future.
