My wife and I are expecting twins in Oct. We have been searching for car seats in area stores. When reading the owners manual I came across info on Isofix fastners. I know that the U.S. is slow to put out the Isofix car seats probaly not until the year 2002. I was wondering if anybody knows about the Volvo isofix car seats if availble or any company that makes the isofix car seat?

The Volvo seats were recalled just a week or two after they were introduced. Haven't heard of a reissue date yet.

Britax will be coming out with their Flagship "Roundabout" convertible seat with ISOFIX soon. But then, they've been promising it for a year now. The Fisher Price is the only one I know of that's on the maret now.

Good luck, and let us know what you find.

The Expressway is only forward-facing, unfortunately, so it can't be used for the first year. Why they chose to do that one first is beyond me. I just shelled out $225 for the Roundabout Advantage with NO ISOFIX. I'm bummed. I have to cars with ISOFIX in the seats, and nothing to use them with.

Seriously consider the Advantage (it is the Roundabout's high end). All the same features of the Roundabout with the great advantages of a harness/headrest adjuster knob on the side of the seat, a better teather system, a recline mode on the base, and plusher seating. Lots of great upgrades for about $25 extra. Just be sure to look into it before plunking down the cash.

My daughter is 9 months old, and she'll be in this seat for the next couple of years, so an extra $25 is insignificant.
