Dear friends,
I was cleaning up dust in the cabin and pulled what I thought was a piece of lint poking out of a few slits above the set temp knob.....and this poked out!!

Is that the interior climate control temp sensor? If so, was that "lint" a piece that covers the sensor?
Should I push this back inside? It is actually not really poking outside the level of the slit...but it was never that visible before.

Thanks
KD

That is correct.

There's a small fan located right behind the temperature sensor which draws in cabin air which the sensor then senses the temperature of. That's how the lint gets attracted to said sensor. You may be able to pull the lint out carefully using tweezers but don't yank on the sensor itself.
Thanks. So it is supposed to look clean without a covering over that sensor?
