I have already washed my car twice in less than a week.

So, counting it's original detail...that is 3 times in 8 days.

Also, this is off-the-wall, but my favorite part of the car...is when you open the door and see that small aluminum 'R' sill plate in the middle of the bright sonic blue. Just plain sexy! http://********************/smile/emlove.gif

You'll get over it. You'll still want to keep it clean but not to that extent.

When I was about your age, I got a new Corvette.
I washed it FOUR times in the first 2 days.
It didn't help that it had snowed
the first night after I brought it home

Corvette and snow just does not sound like a good mix
. I am the same way I wash every few days, I am ready for spring to take hold so I can get a good detail job done.

Re: (Token)

I believe Eric is 39 ... and I am 40. I not only wash my car after every rain, but also do the Californial Duster thing every evening upon my arrival home from work ... I also have the old duster I used on my previous car to clean the brake dust off of my wheels. I used the same routine on my previous car for 7 1/2 years, so it is unlikely that I will grow out of it

I don't think its age, but enjoying the detailing and a clean car. I am 50, but do my own detailing. Wash once per week, wax update and lexol the leather once a quarter and twice a year a full five step detail on the paint. I'd rather putter with the car and see the results, than veg at something else!

I just think its the difference between people. Im now 29 and still the same way as when I was 19 and had my first New Camaro. I washed it almost every couple days,it was black though, and I always wanted it shining.

Im the same with my R's Ive had, wash every few days, clean wheels and shine tires almost every day, lexol seats every month. But all our cars will always look like the day you rolled them off the showroom vs the guy with bird crap on his hood and french fries in between his seats.
