I have an 1988 745 t/i. Just wondering if there is a low fuel warning light, and if so, when does it come on? I mean how much fuel is left? I'm trying to figure out if my gas gauge is screwed.
With my 240 I've run it down to where the needle is on the bottom edge of the red section. Only twice have I ever put in more than 13 gallons, and it's a 15.8 gallon tank. I'm not sure if the 700 series is like this, but I think it's common for the 240 to show lower than what's actually left.
Volvo says that you will have 2 gallons left when you get to the red. Fill up when it gets to the red to be safe. Completely empty is just left of the red so don't try to go much past it.
