Hi, I'm little confused.
Got the car back from body shop where it was sitting for a week, and now every time I press the brake pedal the (!) light comes up. The brake is weak, I've added some fluid last night but in doesn't help. I knew the brakes were not in a best shape a week ago, but I never had the light. I've checked the pads and they still have some meat left.

Front rotors were machined about 50K miles ago as I bought these used from someone else here as an 302mm upgrade, and I have probably 45kmiles on the pads. Rears rotors are probably original, at least I haven't replaced these in last 3 years.
Did I just wear them out completely? I just never seen this symptom.. I mean the light...
Thanks.

Re: Is it a time for a brake job? (Papa_Kirlo)

A break job wouldn't hurt at this point; however I would bleed all four wheels to be sure the fluid is making its way to all of the calipers.
I've had a tow-truck driver put a hook (only for tie-down, not hoisting) on the rear A-arm and pinched closed my driver's rear brake line. (I was not there when the car was being towed to the shop for a new engine.)
Suffice to say, if they had the car in a shop...any number of accidents could have happened. So check that you're getting fluid to and from all four calipers firs. The problem you descirbe could be many things.
Cheers,
Prospero

They managed to destroy one of my tires, side cut trough the cord. I noticed it only at home. Had to switch to crappy summer tires last night because of that... I'm going try to complain, not sure how it will work out..
Thanks, I'll try to bleed it first..

Cool, thanks everyone. Don't want to open can of worms, but... does ceramic pads work well with "Power Slot" rotors? Do they squeak?
