Has anyone tried Denso iridium IK22 or any other iridium plugs?

Re: Iridium Plugs-Denso IK22 (Randall)

I have found sticking to the stock Volvo plugs works the best. Also you should note, the spark plugs in the R cannot be used in any other engine because of the length of the thread 26.5 mm compared to 19 mm for other Volvo engines. In addition, the Ceramic has been thinned to a point at the bottom to minimize carbon deposits when cold starting.

Denso are the worst plugs I have tried in any vehicle.
You should try them in a 125 Rotax kart, they work great. Denso's draw less current and fire when dirty. But...I would agree that Volvo plugs see to work best for Volvo's.

I use them with my 850. Perform well but look very fragile, very thin tip.
There are horror stories reported about breaking electrode tips/insulation.
With my S60T5 I've always used the stock OEM plugs, very consistent quality and no problems at all.

Like mentioned the R uses longer thread plugs so the IK22 type won't fit.
My advice, stick to original.
