I'm about to pull the trigger on the full IPD/TME package (i.e. stage II ecu, DP and exhaust), however I love the sound of my "JRL patented" stock exhuast mod now. Does a stock exhaust vs. the TME exhaust make much of difference in this setup. Scott Hart doesn't recommend stock for this configuration ("you won't realize the full potential of the DP with the stock exhaust") but I wanted to sound out the forum. Your thoughts appreciated.

They also told me that, apologies to Scott here, but I think for all intents it's BS.
Unless you're actually tracking the car and need every bit of HP I think you won't feel any difference, I know I don't, unmeasurable on the street.
You only have 91 octane out there so it wouldn't matter anyway as you can't have the "93" ECU flash.
JRL

Thanks, we actually have 92 in WA state but your point is well taken and it confirms some of what I was thinking about stock vs. IPD. I'm excited for the ECU and DP...driving down to Portland tomorrow to get the flash.

My exhaust sounds better anyway, (really, had both).

I have this setup and like it. The TME Sports Exhaust provides some +10HP and is the highest $/HP component in the 3-piece setup. If you have the money budgeted for it then go for it as I did. You may be able to recoup some of your cost by selling the stock ehaust. Good luck on your decision.

My S60R is JR filter, RICA chip and 3" Ferrita downpipe at the moment. Stock exhaust.
I think it will make a difference when installing a catback but only to help heatsoak on longer duration accelerations. For the short 1-2 sprints or the occasional same gear overtaking it doesn't make that much of a difference.
