If you have the automatic, the poly upper engine mount may transmit more vibration into the passenger compartment than you want. Otherwise, good choices, you'll find the car is far more responsive. |
I just installed the IPD Upper Engine Mount and the support bar bushings in my 2004 GT.
While I can feel a little more vibration at idle than the stock "is the car even running " feel, it is not obnoxious or bothersome. If it ends up eventually bothering me, I can just take the support bar bushings out.
Upper engine mount took me 15 minutes to replace .... thank goodness to the fact that the stock one was torn completely and that I bought a hand "hacksaw" (basically nothing more than a blade holder) to cut through the old one.
There was some kind of a white plastic "surround" around the edge of the stock bushing that once I cut through it I could just pull it out with my hand.
All in all .... IPD has made me very happy again! Maybe it is just psychological, but the steering feels a little heavier (more responsive) but obviously it is not going to help the USS Nimitz turning radius.
