In an on going effort to continually improve our softloader program I'd like to get some feedback on what you'd like to see added in the future.
Skies the limit so tell us what you think.
Here's a few ideas to get started;

Vista compatibility
Integrated grahpics for datalogging
Complete vehicle diagnostics

Or maybe switch to a hand held unit. Maybe run it off an I-phone or I-touch or something purpose built...

What would be really nifty is something along the lines of what Ross-Tech has done with their Vag Com, allowing the user to make their own software changes to the car.

For example, with my Audi, I could have modified the single click door unlock vs, two stage, windows down by remote, beep on lock/unlock, etc. (some of these features are available from Volvo dealers as well, some not). THAT would be a goldmine IMHO.

Yeah, I would love that. Somehow make a tune so you have no boost, to very little boost. Like the "teenager" mode that is grayed out.

I'm not sure if it would be possible, but do things like VIDA can do, like shut off DRLs and such, change the lock, and other electronic things like VAG-COM can do. I think I already asked you and you said you didn't have access to information in the CEM.

If it would be possible, quicker upload/download times.

You're not kidding!!! And +1 to the Valet mode!!

...I'm not an ipd softloader owner *yet*, as I'm getting a dp and FMIC installed first...
Once those are in and good, then it's GO TIME!!

Bluetooth or wireless interface
iPhone and Windows mobile monitoring/logging clients (no need for download on these)
Windows 7 compatibility. This is mandatory, in fact.

Work with this guy: http://www.obdkey.com Want an introduction?

The hardware should be much more affordable, imo. After all, it can be sold to any Volvo owner, whose Volvo has a tune available from IPD, or uses the proper protocols. Of course, that's the way I feel about most things.

:: edit ::

After using one the other day, I really can't believe the $$ charged for it. It doesn't even have it's own capabilities, you must use a laptop with it, so it is basically just the interface, and the software. This must be a gravy train for IPD, if people are buying them, that is. I, for one, will never spend that kind of money on an interface cable and a piece of sw and then spend DOUBLE that for the tune.

The hardware is $$$$$ if you do not buy it with the flash. They almost give it away w/ the flash.

Price - Please be a little more competitive

Lucky I want one of these really bad but price is the issue for me. I have been saving and saving and saving. But life and kids get in the way. I have to agree I want the IPD tune but the price is holding me back. I keep lusting after other cheaper tunes and have almost pulled the trigger a few times on the cheaper versions. But the IPD knowledge and service are what have kept me saving. It were just a little less I would pull the trigger today.

U could always add a T to the line going from the manifold to tcv and another T before the wastegate. then just bypass the TCV and connect an inline open/close valve. Whenever you want to activate valet mode, just open the valve and that's it...max boost 7psi.

There was a topic on this mod a while back, I think it's called no name valet mode mod?...
