I'm on the fence, because the gauge is not listed for sale yet, and I like my cupholder-location-panel. But, I would like to have the gauge more in my line-of-sight. Maybe I'll wait to see one in person...

I must agree.... That thing just looks horrid. It just looks so out of place... Ipd maybe should have got a lil bit more feedback on that one before producing it

I also really digged Kai's (I think) integration of two Prosport gauges into the blank plate by the dome lights. That was probably the sickest solution I've seen, because of the creativity.
Evan, what cupholder panel do you have now? A custom piece or that 2 slot one I've seen discussed on these forums?
I too am on the fence about that pod, it might look better in person.

I clicked on the link and the first thought that popped into my head was "That's pretty ugly!". I was going to post it, but xman03 beat me to it. They should have come up with an option for two gauges in the cup holder / slot next to the stereo head unit. Sorry IPD, but that's really ugly.

Great way to get your face smashed if that bag goes off. Face it, there is a limit on the reasonable locations to add a gauge on this car and IPD went with a safe location.

This has got to be frustrating for a product developer. They went to great lengths to work with the community as they developed the product, taking direction from community feedback, and people knowingly held back their criticism until the product is finished and in production, and THEN step forward and say yeah, "barf".
That's why it's important to take part in things, so you can actually get your voice heard and maybe shape things in the direction you want them to go. It's easier to tear things down than to build them up. The thread ofr the development of this product has been running for quite some time now. It's a shame there wasn't more participation!
gb

Re: (s140s)

but there are severe space restrictions with that location when using a mechanical gauge, like the IPD one. Doable, but a real knuckle scraping project from what I understand.

Re: (T5 for Life)

A mechanical gauge can be mounted in the carbon fiber werks pod (the one pictured above), but you're taking a big risk with pinching/crimping the vac line that has to be run to the gauge.
In my opinion, this is why the IPD gauge should have been designed around an electrical gauge. The carbon fiber werks pod seems to be the most popular one around here and isn't compatible with the IPD gauge.
Cheers,
J
