Re: IPD engine mounts (ilalocal1922)

From blot's post in this thread

http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=43203

Does your engine mount look like this?

or this?

If you have the latter then you have the updated engine mount which won't work with the engine mount bushing you showed. To my knowledge, there is no aftermarket engine mount bushing for the new mount.

Hope this helps.

Like JRL said all is OK and that is the carrect bushing. NOW if you have the newer style bushing, that one is square and WILL NOT work.

Absolutely CORRECT

Good catch K. The hole has been drilled off center. That is your problem.
I think they are off center, it only goes on one way

Obviously the wrong mount.
Call iPd the first thing Monday and have them overnight one to you on their dime

The correct bushing doesn't have the 2 indents on the outer rim.

That mount is for an earlier model.
It fits the 850 and 70 series to 2000.

David, Correct mount is en route.

As for the change to the square mount for the mid 05- R's and the 06-
Warranty claims were high enough to justify a redesign. Time will tell
if it is better but I drew it in CAD and used Cosmos to analyis it.
Longevity in the analyzer shows to be about 289,000 cycles whereas the previous units was only 165,000 cylces. Of course, grain of salt here, this is a computer model. But worthy to note the durometer is about 10 shore harder.
