Just curious, what was the install like for just the RINGS?

The install was easy, a couple of tools were needed. An 11mm deep socket and a small pair of channel locks. I used the socket to put the bezel ring into the door. Make sure you put masking tape on the socket so you don't leave tooling marks on your new bezel rings.
I put making tape on the small channel locks to take the old locking pins off or just use the rubber hose supplied by IPD.
Very simple install and I love it!

Re: (sinisin63)

I really like the way these look and am considering them, but I worry about the backseat passengers. Don't the rears sit flush when locked? I'd be afraid of not being able to get rear passengers out in a crash situation.
The other question is simply style: do you point the R so it can be read from the outside or inside? I don't know which way I like better...

Re: (sinisin63)

I just installed mine and I realized that I need another one. I wonder if I can order just one door lock pin and bezel for my tailgate?

Re: (sinisin63)

normally one should not have to remove the interior panel just to replace a door lock pin. this is really frustrating.

Re: (sinisin63)

My wife got me these for my birthday and I was able to install them with only the provided plastic tube. You just have to be gentle with the first few spins so that the threads can grab then you are are good to go.
I love them!

force overcomes resistance!
looks like the cargo door pin doesn't screw in it. I turned it both ways and it would not unthread, only spin.

Re: IPD door lock pins (Rally_Junky)

After procrastinating for 6 months or so, I finally decided to take pictures of my install. And after 6, 7 weeks more of procrastination, I decided to upload them. So here it is, finally:
