It's been awhile since I have posted. I recently purchased the boost gauge for my S60R and installed. I am having trouble with the IPD gauge pod staying in place with the 3m tape to the dash. Anyone have any luck or other method of getting it to stay in place? A clip to the edge of the dash and pod would have been nice thinking of trying thin piece of metal that i could bend into a shpae then attach to side of pod. I didn't install from the side like in their video I snaked the wires up from between the dash and windsheild for neater install. Thanks on any thoughts or tips from others.

Re: IPD Boost Gauge (goneins60r)

ya mine was a biotch and I ended up puttiing about 5 layers of different 3m tape to get the tape to extend below the curve of the pod. Mine must have been warped after the pod was baked cause the bottom edges were turned a bit. It stays now but the the pod sits up in place and the tape didn't stay stuck to the pod. Im just happy to have it work correctly and look good.

Did you clean the dash with alcohol firsT? also, there is a VERY VERY sticky 3M double sided tape that will most likely work better than the crap they give...

Re: IPD Boost Gauge (goneins60r)

I was skeptical that the tape they supply would work. I used alcohol on the area first, and then stuck it, and have been pleasantly surprised that is held well. Hasn't popped up at all. The rubber "edge" they provide is a bit annoying to install though. All in all, not the most elegant solution, but in the end it looks good. I'd try cleaning the area if you haven't, and then using a sticker tape maybe.

That stuff does NOT let go. I bought a roll when I redid my C70 exterior trim, and I use it for EVERYTHING now.
