I've been Reading up on the IPD Boost Gauge and it looks really Sharp and I'm thinking of getting it. But my question is does that effect the Warranty in anyway?
Also reading up on a BOV for the S60R I've Read mixed opinions on it. People say its worthless and throws check engine codes. Then Ive read that it helps the HP and Torque. Yes I know that sound ridiculous but I read up on it and also found this Video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxFFJQZOEiY
and Again how would a BOV effect the Warranty?
I would like to hear your opinion on these thanks!

Re: IPD Boost Gauge? and BOV (SilverS60R)

BOV will not bring any performance in an R. In order to install correctly you would have to get CBV Blanking Plate. The next issues is you will run rich between gear chages as you will dump messured air back into atmosphere.
If your looking for cheap performance out of an R - you got the wrong vehicle. If you want to hear CBV more, get some intake and K&N filter.

they are the same thing...ipd has better customer service though and is represented on swedespeed so i think most of us would recommend theirs. the intake might void some parts of your warranty depending what part your talking about, what dealer you go to, and if it directly leads to the malfunctioning part. lets just say it certainly isnt voiding your stereo warranty but something closely related? possibly.

I have the ipd gauge and had problems with the dash mark ring delaminating. my guess would be from heat stresses. ipd replaced the entire gauge without any question. looks awesome but I would try another gauge if this one has another problem
Maybe.
Volvo's aftermarket part policy is quite black and white and quite draconian. To them, Magnusson-Moss is something best fought in court. It all depends on your service people, your regional warranty people, etc. You may end up getting black flagged.
Best bet is to ask for people to PM you with "mod-friendly" dealers in your area, if any exist. VCNA does watch these boards.
Before Magoon says it...."if you play, you may have to pay".

Re: IPD Boost Gauge? and BOV (Needsdecaf)

Sweet thanks for the info guys. for the Boost Gauge I was thinking of Getting the Dash Hawk since my buddy got it for his speed3. But I found out its only for 05 and Up I guess the ECU is configured differently according to the guy we talked to for the support line.

Some people run without airbox lids, but I'm still not sold on the safety of this idea, especially with a K&N filter as it's clamped into place
