Re: IPD 1.75" Lowering springs...curious about ride quality! (rj240)

I would think (depending on the strut/shock and tire set up) it<I> could </I>become very rough!

I would be running the following setup:<p>1.75" IPD lowering springs<br>Koni Yellow Adjustable shocks and struts<br>215/45/17 tires<p>I was hoping someone has the IPD springs and can give some feedback...<br>

That is the set up I usually run but it also depends on the BRAND of tire.<br>I still think it's going to be a <I>hair choppy</I> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/rolleyes.gif" BORDER="0"> but never driven or ridden in a car with these new springs it would be only speculation.<br>(If you want to cushion the shock try Conti Extreme Contacts.)<p>'One mans good ride could be a kidney buster for the other man!"

Some guys over on Volvospeed have these and they love them! The ride isn't as harsh as eibachs or H&R's and they look great! It is what I will be getting when I order springs for sure. I had H&R's before and they were rough.

jrodT5 - Thanks! Good to know, as my alternative was going to be to go with the H&R's...<br>

You're right! I think all the pics that I've seen of cars with those springs have been yours!<br>

Re: (rj240)

The spring rate is only increased 20% over stock, so they sholdn't too harsh. I would be concerned with bottoming them out though since with a drop that large they should be stiffer.
