Without getting into the cellular carrier biases that may exist among us, the above AT&T news regarding satellite [cellular] service seems pretty encouraging for the “connected car” particularly in rural areas.

It seems to bode well for AT&T provided 4G/LTE will be supported (along with 5G going forward).

I like the redundancy having one carrier for the phone (and hotspot), and having another carrier for the car connectivity at a modest cost.

It would be great if this development could enable VOC connectivity in other regions of world, provided certain governments do not stand in its way.

Subject to potential outages due to significant weather interference, do you find this development encouraging.
