I have a new S80 (2 weeks) with a USB port for the iPod. The second day I had it, I got fierce static when using the iPod (which otherwise synched fine and played beautifully the day before). Sirius, CD, and radio were all fine. The static problem went away overnight. About ten days later, it came back, though got less noticeable during the course of my 45 minute drive. Again, Sirius, radio, and CD were all fine. I plugged the iPod in through the AUX port with requisite cable for that port, and it worked fine -- no static.

Any thoughts? Is this a software issue with the stereo system? A hardware problem of some sort?
