Intermittent Check Engine Light

We have a 95 850 Wagon and just recently the check engine light comes on after starting the car. After a couple of minutes it will turn off, but always is on when we start the car. Our local mechanic closed shop and we are dreading taking it to the stealership. Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas? Thanks in advance - Adam

Have you checked the ECU for codes? Check out www.volovspeed.com and navigate to the maintenance and repair section. In that section you will find the process on how to check the codes. Post the codes and I will tell you what they mean.
