Looking at the photos I have of the interior, it seems that the leading edge of the front seat bottom has a bolster on it. Is that bolster adjustable? The Ford "Exploder" had that for one year, and it was very comfortable.

Good question, sorry I don't know the answer.
I'm sure we'll find out soon - anything mentioned about it on the UK site? They seem to have more info than the US site.
While we're on the subject of the interior, I've seen 2 diff pix of the steering wheel - one is a 4 spoke & kinda boxy while the other (which is much cooler looking IMO) is a 3 spoke wheel. I can't believe there would be two wheels offered, so I wonder what's up with that?

The leather clad steering wheel is 4-spoke, where-as the wooden steering wheel 3-spoke.

As far as I know, the front seats are only 8-way power adjustable, just like the rest of the Volvo line of cars, but they are of a new design that hasn't been used yet in any Volvo.

-Drew

Thanks for the info, Drew.
Actually, now that I look at those pix, either wheel is very nice in it's own way.
I wonder if the wooden wheel will be a stand-alone option - I'd probably lilke to get that w/o getting the entire package.

Do we know which interior ( ivory or grey) will go with which exterior colors, or is it a free for all?

I'm sure they'll have specific interior colors matched to specific exterior colors, that's usually the case. Both colors are gorgeous, so it doesn't really matter to me.

I believe this is the same way the S60 is.
Pat

In the S60, you have three interior choices; Lt. Beige, Lt. Taupe and Graphite. The two "beige" interiors can only be combined with certain exterior colors (i.e. "Lt. Beige" is only offered with North Sea Blue, Nautic Blue Metallic, Venetian Red Metallic and Cypress Green Metallic), whereas Graphite is offered with any exterior color.

Yannis

I guess they wanna keep the light colored interiors matched with the darker exterior colors, & vica versa. Makes sense to me...
My Patriot Blue (deep metallic blue) Grand Cherokee came with either the agate (dark grey) or taupe interior - IMO the light taupe interior looked better with the dark blue exterior.
IF I got the black XC90, for instance, I'd get the light taupe interior, or conversely, if I got the silver exterior, I'd go for the graphite interior. Just my 2 cents...

I think I'd go dark gray whichever color I bought. I've had a couple of cars with light interiors, and I think I'm just too darn dirty to keep it clean.
But, I do have a dog that sheds little white hairs, so I guess it's six of one half a dozen of the other.

I went with graphite in my silver S60 and probably would have gone with graphite no matter which colour I went with. If we do end up getting a XC90 I'm going with graphite as well. I find its not as hot as I thought it would be in the summer.
Pat
