There is a T5 near me that has 81,500 on it and they are asking $9k. I'm going to check it out tomorrow, is there anything to look for when looking the car over and test driving in particular or anything I should ask about at this mileage? Its a local dealer so I doubt I can ask about service records. Thanks for the help!

Look for service record stamps in the maintenance book.
Look for rear main or turbo return line leak, (up on a rack, right side of engine)
While on the rack check the underside in general
Check trans fluid
Check all suspension components, for cracked strut mounts, worn sway bar links and worn out tie rods
Check ALL switch gear, try out ALL the buttons and switches incl. the seat switches. (they go bad)
Naturally see if the A/C blows ICE cold and obviously the general condition of the car
What's a litigation support specialist,
You break arms ?

Assuming this all checks out am I going to be in for a big service cost coming up and are these cars fairly reliable? The other car I'm looking at this weekend is a 2000 Toyota Solara V6 coupe which I know I need to have very little concern for liability but Volvo's I don't know as well.
As for lit support, the easiest way to explain it is I'm a computer guy with a little bit of legal knowledge and I do the tech work for the attorneys for trials.

With that many miles I'm surprised JRL didn't recommend checking if the timing belt and accessory drive belt had been replaced. If the the timing belt has been done there's usually a Volvo sticker with the mileage indicated. You usually find this on the top of the ECU box (with the hood open this is the black box to the left of the radiator that has a cooling duct that looks like it runs into the radiator). Also check that the power antenna works and the condition of the brakes.
