Has anybody seen the upper intercooler pipe that goes over the engine polished?
I was thinking about removing mine and stripping it and then polishing it but I didn't know if it was painted or powder coat? Powder coat would be tough to strip off.
Any ideas?

Can you post a picture of your engine? Total stab in the dark, but I'm guessing you have a car that has some additional work done to it.
How would this matter when it comes to polishing/stripping

OP: sand/media blast it. I'd say it's paint, not powder coat. Many folks on SS and VS have polished their's
Suggestion: Search or visit Volvospeed's Cosmetic section

Note: I had mine ceramic coated, they media blasted it first

I polished mine, then decided to buy the IPD RIP kit. RIP Kit looks way better. I had the pipe painted to match the paint color of my engine.

Anyway, the OEM intercooler pipe is painted and baked on. Its a PITA to remove with sand paper alone. Highly suggest media blasting it off!
