I was thinking of moving my daughters car seat into the other vehicle and using the built in Volvo booster cushion. The manual reads that the child must be at least 33 lbs and 38 inches in height. My daughter is 33 lbs and 41 inches. Didn't know if this was legal in Canada so I did some research on the Transport Canada web site.
Transport Canada is suggesting that parents not move their children into the built in booster cushion made by Vovlo until the child is at least 40lbs. Furthermore, they have contacted Volvo of Canada to change the info in the manual and to inform all current owners by mail of this change.
I will keep my 4 1/2 year old in her 5 point harness for a little longer. Just a heads up for the parents out there.

Re: Integrated Booster Cushion (myxc90)

I use the integrated booster as a spare seat when I have to transport my son's buddies who's parents don't supply me with their seat. At 40 lbs, you can use a booster with the 3 pt. seatbelt. Scary thing is, there are lots of parents of 4-6 year olds whos kids are not using a proper seat, much less a seat belt.
