Installed IPD track speck sways, end links and Jetex exhaust system last night. What can I say. It's totally different car the way it handles now. Even with stock springs (I didn't want to lower my wagon as I go somewhere with my family often) in "sport" mode it's less bumpy now
. If people are looking for a way to improve handling of R - this IS definitely way to go!
Jetex exhaust IS making difference too. I can hear my turbine "talks" to me through it now http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

<edit>
As I drove it a bit more today - I can definitely say that low end torque had improved http://********************/smile/emthup.gif .

I bet your car is much more fun to drive now, like mine became when I added the IPD rear bar and removed the muffler. I DID notice a decrease in MPG though. Guess I'm having a little TOO much fun now! Enjoy your "new" ride!

Unfortunately I didn't have time to do it myself and didn't want to wait until I will get it. My dealer did it all. They also did a 4-will alignment.

Jetex just sounds awesome. I rode in Gerry's S60R the other day to do some stock decibel readings for upcoming comparison thread on exhaust sound levels, and have to say, it sounded awful.

You could NEVER hear the exhaust, even under WOT. All you could hear is the sewing machine sound of the engine, and sorry, the 5 cylinder isn't a great sounding engine.

Gerry is going to do the Jetex as his first mod because he is tired of driving a Singer.

And you can do the Jetex yourself without any special tools, I did, and I'm NOT a mechanic (I don't really enjoy working on my car because I suck at it). A lift really helps if you have one available, but not entirely necessary.

B,
Where did you order the Jetex from? And who's the Volvo dealer? Thanks for posting the review on your mods. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Jetex can be ordered from http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com

EuroSportTuning's copy of the jetex can be ordered from them at http://www.eurosporttuning.com . I think EST is cheaper for stateside folks.

I went with partsforvolvos. It was at my door in 4 days! And the dealer was Smythe Volvo at 740 Capitol Expressway. They're great! Others I called didn't even want to install non Volvo parts and they'd said it will void my warranty. these guys didn't have any issues with it.

Re: Installed sway bars and cat back last night. ("R" Kelly)

Thanks Boris and Kelly for the update and web links on the Jetex. I sent an email to "partsforvolvosonline" asking them if the Jetex they sell works on the '06's. I got my order for the sway bars in already.

EST's cat-back+Ferrita DP kit price is amazing! (e-mail EST for details)
I just got my EST cat-back this week, DP comes laterin April. Here are some quick pictures I took.
Nice box, eh!

Opened it and "WOW!", happy birthday! (yes, of course that's a BMC filter)

I love the rolled and angle-cut tips

I plan to do some before/after performance and sound tests along with installation pics... one small piece still missing though (see signature).

That's exactly what I think of me after paying them
, I could've done it myself, but as I said I didn't want to wait until I have time to do it

Re: Installed sway bars and cat back last night. (boriman)

With my V70R I changed the rear sway together with a mechanic in 35 minutes.

With the S60R I was charged 220 Euro for front and rear sway and downpipe install. In this case the alignment was for free because of an earlier "not so well performed" alignment after hitting a curb, steering wheel wasn't centered.

I do have to add that with the V70R the change was easier because the Ferrita exhaust I had under that car can be split in half. The stock exhaust needs to be completely removed. (Also the Jetex when looking at RKelly's issue's..

Is the EST V70R cat back different from the S60R version? I ordered mine two weeks ago and was told that I had to wait 8-10 weeks for the next shippment.

Hey Turbo Chad, I had been talking to EST for a while about their cat-back and other parts so I found out early it was their last one in stock and jumped on it. I waited to take delivery since they were getting other parts for me as well (BMC/Heico filter and some other stuff for my XC90). Hang in there, the price is right and should be well worth the wait (especially if you also get the DP since that make the cat-back less than the cost of a couple tanks of gas!) I'm sure EST won't let you down.
