Here is my handsfree kit for my cell phone. It works well. It is a CellPort 3000 and a Kuda phone base. The base ain't the exact right color as you will see, but it works. I didn't want the hassle of returning it again and everything.
Handsfree Kit

Handsfree Kit with components called out

Phone base

Thanks to Charles, Sadude, Bing_O and Ron

Congrats on getting it installed!
Which antenna did you go with? How is the mic placement where you put it? Mine is on top of the steering wheel enclosure (in front of the guage cluster) but it acts funky at times.
RJ
aka Ron

Re: Installed handsfree cell phone kit (B518T)

I went with the Terk interior antenna. Not even noticeable. Out of the way and I like it. The speaker placement is good. Have no problems hearing others. the only problem is the mic. Sometimes people have a hard time hearing me. Works well though. I like it.

Oppss..I ment mic placement in front of the guage cluster. My speaker is in the passenger side footwell, tucked in the foot vent.
Another thing to note is people may hear an echo on their end (hearing themselves from the speaker and back into the mic). I've talked to a few people who have said they hear themselves everytime I talk to them on the Cell Port. But the convience far outweighs that for me.
I have a Hirschman (sp?) antenna and it works well for me. It's a little bit more noticeable than your placement but it works fairly well.

RJ
