Hi all, need some help/education please.

Installed the IPD boost gauge last night. It's my first time with a boost gauge, so I don't understand what it is I'm seeing.

So when the car is off, obviously the needle is at 0. Upon start up and then idle, the needle moves down to around 20. As I drive it will move closer to 10. Normal acceleration moves it to 0. Hard acceleration moves the needle up to a little over 10 followed by a rapid drop down.

I would appreciate being educated about not only what I'm seeing but also if it's good, bad or normal.

Thank you!

The needle reads negative when you are off-throttle because of vacuum. Stock peak boost is 14.7psi. Do a flat-out pull onto a ramp in 3rd or 4th gear and you should see it peak at 14.7 or so. If it's less, then you might have a boost leak somewhere.
