Re: Info on VIVA intercooler? (crimnlmnded)

It is just a core, you will need to source the piping on your own.

EDIT:
George is out of town right now, thus his delayed response. The core is made by Yonaka.

Thank you Bob.
Any idea where I could source piping, maybe local auto zone or something.
Between us , I also found it for $200,( just the core).

There are places to get cores pretty cheap, but that is not the hard part. If you have the time and equipment, you could save a lot of money fabricating the pipes yourself. There is a reason the piping and/or kits cost so much though...they aren't easy to make!

I was going to make an attempt at it while over in Germany when I had access to a full shop and lift, but moving came too quickly and I just let it go. I am going to Phuz's place this Friday for my install http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

yeah I seen phuz has them on his site, a little expensive though, I'm sure I can find them out here for cheaper or have them made.

I wish you luck! Share your results http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Mike, as others have said, make sure the pipes are done right. There are times you spend the cash to make sure things do not go wrong, and especially when dealing with this kind of mod, you want to make sure all the components are well built.

in any event, good luck. also make sure the people you have install it know what they are doing.

I know phuz has one of the cheapest, just right now uncle fundsarelow is in town and the belt is tight, I am really trying to avoid the damn heat soak this summer though.
The hard choices!

You should speak with Mr Sellakidney. You'll have enough leftover for a Moosesticker and some booze

Re: Info on VIVA intercooler? (mad matt)

It's definitely worth it if you can have Matt install it. The time/$/frustration you'd save is worth it...

OR

take a drive down to the boys next to Shea Stadium and have them make you something out of recycled soda cans http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

You are going to have to ask him.

He already flew out to Cali one time to do a few installs. Spark enough interest any maybe he would be willing to do it again? The first time they have a bunch of installs scheduled and they all chipped in to buy his ticket. It went well from what I read http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Re: (97GLTbrick)

Mike you could always use PVC piping for the IC, would look ghetto as f*** but it's the cheapest way, and it will still function like any other piping
