Yeah so I need to start off by apologizing to anyone i pissed off back when i was on here actively, i was going through some serious personal and work sh1t, drinking more than i should have been etc etc.. So, i'm sorry!
Back to the fun stuff:
1) Im due for my 45k mile checkup, which i understand includes Plugs and Fluids, any idea how much the plugs are going to run me? Im still under warranty through jan 2010 if that counts towards anything. Can I do the plugs myself? Do people have any recommendations for plugs for my 04' GT?
2) The lower piece of trim on the door which is held on by POS plastic clips came loose when 2 of the plastics failed and broke. Can i find these clips anywhere or do i need to go through volvo/dealer etc etc.. id rather do it myself..
3) Ive noticed when i have the radio off and the windows up, that i can hear a higher "whirring" sound when executing extended turns... Wheel bearing? I do not have spacers, and its my understanding they need to honor fixing that...
4) Anyone had success swapping the fogs? I cant unscrew the housing AT ALL!
And a comment: Ive finally switched over and started using Meguiars gold-class stuff on my Pegs and my washes and LOVE it. Still use Zymol inside.
Any Help with any of these matters is appreciated!
 -Erik

Did you forget to search while you were gone? j/k welcome back. Yes, you can replace the fogs and plugs by yourself. From what I've read the stock plugs are the best. Call Boston Volvo for a price.

I'll probably do plugs myself this summer sometime, we should have a GTG for them.
Yeah, the whirring is probably wheel bearings, common warranty item.

IIRC, plugs are at 60K (hint: there's a book in your glovebox to verify). The 45K is another glorified oil change and cabin filter.....though you should probably change fluids at this point. I just had them all done after 5 years.

Otherwise easy and worth doing yourself. Plugs were $55 or so from a local dealer.
2) Check power steering fluid? Given wheel bearings tend to be a common problem, I'd probably guess that's what it is though.
Good luck and let us know!

Plugs are on a 60k mile schedule.

Quote, originally posted by AbsolutZer0 »

2) The lower piece of trim on the door which is held on by POS plastic clips came loose when 2 of the plastics failed and broke. I have one broken tab and I found all this out by looking at a new piece at BVV. No clips bud.
Best idea, and what I'm planning on doing myself, is to either use some sort of epoxy or bonding agent to bond the tabs back on, or rig some other tab to the piece itself, maybe using metal. I'm gona give creativity a shot before I spend $100 on a new piece. Good luck with yours.
