IGM Inverter cloning or moving the main board to a doner inverter

Hi I have a 2016 IGM (Starter inverter) that is not working because of a short that was caused by the blown Starter/generator.

I have a same version of a Inverter from another car.

Becuase Volvo will not reprogram a used Inverter the car wont start because of the wrong serial number that is not matching with the CAM

Is there a way to reprogram / move the software from the old Inverter to the replacament inverter

Or

had anybody try to move the main board from an old inverter to a good used one.

So finaly got the Inverter to work.

The only way to get the replacament inverter to work was to phisicaly remove the old main computer board from the old inverter and move it to the working used inverter.

The car now starts and works.

Hello, You changed/swapped the controller board from deffected inverter to a used inverter? We have the problem with V60 Phev 2016 but the main board burn out, we repaired it, worked for 5-6 days, but burn out again. Inverter

Nice work Lukawar.

krisztian98 you need to figure out what is causing it to overload. For Lukawar it was a blown/shorted starter which presumably he replaced, then he replaced the IGM.
