If you want to stand out in Vintage racing ...

... buy this car: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...witem

And this is the comment from the lad who found it and posted it on the CMSHG chat board:

In many ways I am amazed that this has not been snapped up at the "Buy it Now" price by some masochistic SVRA, VARAC, or similar group participant. I am sure that this baby is in a class of its own in terms of CG, roll center, suspension geometry and travel, and all other technical specs. Plus there is the cult following for these jewels. Any takers? Amazingly, if you examine the full group of pictures, it looks very well prepped, but to think of a 24 hour endurance race in England, sealed into a 2CV, brings interesting images to my mind.

I have gone to Watkins Glen in the fall for the vintage car race through the town. This Citroen would fit in nicely.

I doubt it Stev. It would be a mobile chicane even for a bog stock MG TC.

No, no it's a real vintage race and all cars once registered are welcome. I've been there many times. They host a feature car every year didn't check this years yet. I wouldn't be surprised that one day it could be Volvo. Geez that gives me an idea - I'll check that out. I've been there for the Datsun, Corvette and the Mini. One can camp right on the race track. Loads of fun.

If you like vintage racing, you should go to the annual Vintage Festival at Mosport. You may just see the MGB I raced in '69, now owned by Joe Lightfoot from Picton. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif
