Specs are out for the 07's. The manual version of the T5's has been dropped from the US lineup.
However, the T5 AWD is still available w/ a manual tranny.
On the plus side, an aux port, Sirius and the Keyless Drive will be available.

It won't be on a June delivery. But that's why you got a good price on the options. I get mine in June too. Nothing to fret over. I saved almost 7k off msrp. I'm sure waiting for an 07 would be much more $$$

I think the OP was indicating that you cannot get a V50 OR an S40 in T5 FWD trim with a manual gearbox... not sure how the ratio of V50s to S40s relates to that... ?
UKMatt

I'll let you be confused, but for the rest of us I'll explain that the US T5 manual gear box vs automatic ratio is MUCH lower, possibly causing volvo to not offer it any more to us markets. this MIGHT be a reason that you can not get a v50 OR s40 in T5 FWD with manual gearbox in 2007. slow sales of anything will lead to this. the wagon vs sedan was slow , the T5 vs non turbo, and the manual to auto as well.

Anyway, that's an aside.
Volvo must have been the only ones surprised that the US market has a low ratio of manual to automatic sales!
UKMatt

Re: If you want an S40 or V50 T5 manual, get one now (ukmatt)

Great point, I remember a few years ago . when the US spec V40 could only be had with a 4 spd auto and then a 5 spd auto. some people complained including myself and I assume this led to volvo bringing a manual option to the s40n /v50. sales may be slow, given autos sell like more than manuals 15 to 1 in the US. I guess , it's more of a something of whether Volvo wants to appeal to everyone or gives in to the majority. yeah the wagon to sedan ratio is irrelevant , but who knows had the ratio been even less perhaps the V50 may have even been dropped from the us market? funny thing , if the original post is true, that a manual option will be further offered in the AWD version. only why that? seems like corperate leaders looking at the dollar bill and not Everyone are behind that.
