All-

A lot of interest in wheel spacers.
1) A must have if you use lowering springs to reduce the rubbing.
2) A must have if you switch to 245s
3) A must have if you want to fill out wheel wells
4) A nice to have if you want to eliminate rubbing with stock 235s

I have been doing lots of research both myself and talking with Britspeed (lowering springs with 10mm) and have come up with the following conclusion:

10 mm spacers are best for front
15 mm spacers are best for rear (larger horizontal gap between fender and tire)

The problem is, Eibach is only company selling 10mm spacers for Rs, and they are not for sale in US, only in Europe.

I just put 15mm spacers on front and rear with 245s, but front tires break vertical plane of fender, so I'm switching to 10mm in front. Since I have to return my 15mm, and I'm ordering a set of 10mm, I thought I would throw this out to the forum:

If someone wants a set of 10mm and 15mm spacers, you can buy my 15mm ones I need to return, and I will order you a set of 10mm at the same time I place my order. I will only charge you my cost, and they will arrive US priority mail insured.

Happy to do this because,
1) I'm a nice guy

2) Means I don't ever have to go back to that ATU store again, I found another retailer locally to get Eibach spacers from.

Other threads I've done regarding spacers, with pictures:

at any rate, if no one is interested, I'll just return them, just thought I'd throw this out there since 10mm are hard to come by for you stateside guys.

Re: If you are thinking about wheel spacers, I have info and an offer for you... ("R" Kelly)

I am trying to set up a group buy with Scott from IPD for 10mm spacers and bolts. Also as a package, lowering springs.
If you already have another supplier who is willing to set up something then maybe that would work. Springs are easier to come buy in the states.
I would like to do 10mm all around with Eibach Springs. Let me know...

Re: If you are thinking about wheel spacers, I have info and an offer for you... (pafox)

I will check with retailer on Saturday, do you have an idea of how many you would be looking for?

Also, Eibach actually makes a floating collar taper bolt like what we have on late model '04s and '05s, but these are about $8 a bolt, versus $3 a bolt for fixed collar tapers. You can see difference in this picture, stock bolt on left, extended bolt on right:

I guess it acts as a built in washer. Which bolt would you be interested in?

Re: (rdalcanto)

I don't think so, most '04s didn't even come with them. I guess it saves some wear and tear on the rim where the bolt makes contact, but I'm very happy with normal bolts.

OK, I would go with regular bolts then I guess. These spacers will fit on the V70R right? How much for the entire package?

Thanks,
Rick

Are those bolts just zinc plated and not chrome?

I'm interested too. Want to do the 15-mm front and 10-mm rear. Lack of availability for the 10-mm, in fact, is the reason I put it off.

If the offer is still good, send me an IM and let me know what you need me to do.

"R Kelly"
I posted a feeler for these spacers, so lets see what the response is like. I would assume the regular bolts would be fine(extended length though).

R Kelly, I have a couple of questions:

Where do you buy the 10 mm in Germany? I travel to Walldorf/Heidelberg pretty often, and would like to get them.

How do the 15 mm look on the care? Aren't they too wide (I have the original tire size).

Thanks!

Re: If you are thinking about wheel spacers, I have info and an offer for you... (Ramib1)

Retailers in Germany include:

Auto Teile Unger (ATU)
Premio
Pit Stop
Good Year
Vergölst
123
ad Augros
Com4Tires
or in your local workshop. (many garages can order them)

15mm are not too wide, in fact they are perfect. With 245s and 15mm they are perfectly flush, so 235s will be 5mm further in, but will also appear almost flush.

Check out this post to see 15mm spacers front and rear with 245/40x18". Please forgive the car for being dirty, my knee is busted and I can't drive her, let alone wash her.

Quick question I guess. I ordered 10mm in the front and 15mm for the rear.
Do i need to get extended bolts for the rotor? Or are the original long enough for them?

Ah shoot. I thought my set came with them according to the pictures from the website. Ordered from AndysAutoSports and they are H&R spacers.
I guess I need to find some now...what do they average for a set? How much will I be set back now

Holy crap! thread revived from the dead.

^ @TexasV70R the one in the picture is a studded thread M12 x 1.5 which is incorrect, it's actually for the 63.4mm center bore ( P1 S40/C70/C30/new S60/XC60 platform ). What should be used is 65.1 mm hubcentric 10mm spacer with 43mm thread M14 x 1.5 extended bolts seen here:
