I was thinking the same thing. The trick would be to make it aesthetically pleasing too. Maybe pre-cut strips of thin aluminum, that could adhere right to the underbelly of the winglets---kinda like the cheesy "aluminum" interior decals, except made with the real stuff.
A company could make money on this idea (ahem ipd)
Function and form.. would make me happy--and myriad R owners.
