how did you get the cat out...it's part of the downpipe...did you cut it out and weld a straight pipe in?

I think he means the center resignator was removed (JRL PATENT) not the cat.And straight pipe in its place. The burning smell is the new metal curing itself. Should go away in a few days.

I think you mean the center resonator (my patent ) underneath the center of the car, It's almost impossible to "just remove " the cat without destroying the downpipe and the 02 sensors

So, if I am correct, to be causing additional damage to the planet's ozone layer...you now have a better sounding 5 cylinder Volvo.

It will take a few drive cycles, but the car will throw a code.

"...ozone layer..."
That's funny from someone who drives a 2004 Tahoe and a 1989 F-150.
According to google, Istanbul had some of the highest pollution rates in Europe.

With catalytic converters on both. Oh yeah, we DO have emissions testing in good ole PA.
BTW, I would have thought you would have at least bit on the BDM.

Take your rear O2 sensor out of it's bung and zip-tie it onto the frame in a safe place. The front O2 sensor will continue doing it's job normally, and when the ECU queries the rear O2 sensor to see how clean the after-cat exhaust is, it will appear that the cat is doing a stellar job since the rear O2 is sitting in open air. No codes, no cat, just boost, noise and pollution.
Works like a charm.
