Ok so I have finally narrowed it down to three wheels that I like and are reasonably inexpensive. I have blue springs, the blue ones from evole that was mentioned in the title, but it might take some time to get them on and pictures up. All of the wheels are brand new in the box. I guess i just want more options on which wheels people think are best, they are in order that they are listed in the poll....Thanks and other options always welcome

1. Hyper Black Pegs...random picture

2. Enkei

3. MSR

While I like the Enkei wheels (I've looked into getting them before) I think for your car the best inexpensive quality wheel would be the pegs. However, you have the matte black ones shown, not the hyper black. They are $178 each, while the enkei are about $300 each, unless they are on sale.

Re: (al820)

There is an S60 on here that has them, do a search and you should find them. I really like them, but I don't like how the mounting area is so large looking, it makes the wheel seem smaller...

I LOVE the Rs wheels, at first I really wanted to find a set of rs4 or c63 wheels to fit my car with spacers/adapters but of course there was no luck. I dont think there is a way to get a different pattern is there? Pegs are a classic look on an s40 and I think its something you must do if you have an s40, its like dropping a VW to the ground, its a must. I think I want to try something new and go with the enkeis, I like the look, the finish on them, and if there aren't so hot I can sell them and have cash plus a set of pegs. Can I get a photoshop on the enkeis? lol I am at work so I dont have a picture of my care, but search a thread called "BBS RC?", and thats my car...btw I just found a place that builds custom adapters with a thickness as small as .75 inches for about $170 for 4 if anyone is interested, just when I thought I found the right ones

Re: (TheDane)

To be honest, I wouldn't go with any of them. First of all the last rim looks like it belongs on a civic. The enki says it's "tuning", that statement is laughable, the wheel weighs 24 lbs. And I saved the last for the worst, the pegasus. The only thing good about this wheel is it's asthetics. Beyond that the Pegasus baffles me. Why in the name of car design would a company make a wheel for their "performance" vehicle that weighs 26 lbs?!!! When I was running my 350z (before my Volvo) the stock wheel was made by volk and weighed 19 lbs at 18 inches. All in all if you go with the Pegasus your car will be slower and your braking will suffer.

I hear you 100% on that, but I'm rockin a 2.4i so aesthetics. I'm just working on styling and handling. Since this car was a gift, I am working on getting a project car, either an old Volvo turbo or a Plymouth road runner. That is when I will take into account 2 or 3 pounds here and there.

i'm partial to wheels with a pronounced lip... i prefer them to wheels that are flush to the outside edge

IMO, Wheels with a lip look smaller then they really are. My 18" Sterns bairly looked like 17" wheels.
