As many of you can relate, I waited a few months for my new 2022 XC60 Recharge to get clearance at the port for delivery.
I finally got it a couple weeks ago, and am very happy overall, EXCEPT for a really bad smell that I could not figure out. So much for a "new car smell".
I checked everything and could not figure out what was causing the smell. Finally today, I could not take it anymore, and went to the dealership.
It seems a little mouse had taken residence at the port in my new car.
Got a loaner until Monday, as they need to thoroughly clean it!

As someone who has dealt with lots of dead mice stuck in the walls in our house, I can't imagine how you could even sit in the car!

That's awful. If it were me, I think I'd demand a replacement. No way I'd pay for a new car that smells like death. Yikes!

I had a terrible smell that seemed to be coming from the back of my 2021 XC60. It turns out a snake had crawled into the tailpipe. Removed it with my neighbor's BBQ tongs. Odor gone, but not sure I'll ever eat anything grilled by my neighbor again!
