How would you explain that? Another mystery under the hood.
I have a FMIC also so humidity shouldn't make that big of a difference. My MAF is clean.
What are the symptopmps of a faulty IAT?
How about old spark plugs - would they have anything to do with that ?

It doesn't have to do anything with the temperature, it is the humidity that makes a big difference. A difference > 50hp because I can feel it. I feel like those guys in the Fast and furious movies when the push the NOS button
The intake growls like an animal, boost comes very early and strong up to red line - just how 380HP should feel. I wonder if that is what the aquamist people get with the water injection. I will seriously consider geting an aquamist kit. And again, has anyone had a faulty IAT sensor and what are the symptoms?

Thanks guys!

Why is that "worst post ever" ?

Because of the following in bold.

So humidity plays more of a role that IAT which in turn gives you 50+ HP. Are you sure you're not using "NOS", anyway rice boy stick to your scion if you're making these sort of comments.

Ok buddy, you obviously don't have any sence of humor and you have a big mouth.
I know my car and how it should perform when everything is working fine. I know that something is not functioning right and am trying to get an advice from the experienced members on the board.
Please keep you "COOL" comments for yourself.
For homework check what a IAT sensor is, where is it located and what it does.

EAX - get a dyno on a cool rainy day and one on a hot dry day. Then compare the two. Try to get A/F and boost curves too. Make sure you go to the same dyno place both times http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

I'm guessing the IAT sensor would be located where the sun don't shine if xman03 lived closer to you.

I couldn't resist...

Re: (chinaonnitrous1)

Wow! Totally unnecessary folks. EAX has plenty of mods on his R, LOTS of custom type stuff. If he doesn't have 380 crank hp, he really should, and its down to the pathetic real world hp increases of the VERY expensive stuff people sell for the R. I've driven his car, folks, we're not talking about ZayZay here

Agree with this comment.

Also, do you have any staged dyno results as you modded the car...would be curious to see where your HP gains slowed down or if there was a part put on that didn't give you the results you expected.

If the humidity can give a decent bump in power, I'll be praying for humidity soak here in central Ohio and against heat soak this summer.

Hehehe, thanks for the support Joe
Its is unavoidable to get fired at in our days. Everyone has something to say.

I will not spend my money on dyno. My butt dyno works pretty well

Joe, maybe I can borrow your iPhone and do a few runs to measure the acceleration.
