As the title says, my volume knob does not increase or decrease volume. The push function does work correctly for on/off. Any suggestions on a fix, or am I looking at a replacement unit?

Mine works still but it doesn’t work well. I’d be curious too if mine ends up going out.

IPD sells replacement knobs for P2 stereos, evidently they get very iffy as they age with dirt, etc.

FYI, The IPD product are just replacement knobs. They don’t effect the electronic attenuation of the volume...

The volume is controlled by a rotary encoder. Sometimes you clean them with electronics cleaner. But, you'd have to take the unit apart. And there's no guarantee you can actually clean it as many are pretty well sealed.

The one in my old car became random when the weather got cold. That made winter mornings interesting.
